PHOTOGRAPHY RESEARCH PROJECT

Photography Research Project-

Bryant Eslava: 

     Birthday: September 10 

     Birth Place: Anaheim California 

     Age: 19

     Bryant Eslava has achieved a tremendous amount as a photographer.  He has a creative and careful eye for creating portraits and fashion photography. He is focusing on what is called street-style fashion photography. Bryant started photography at the age of 16 when his parent gifted him a Nikon D40. He had soon spark and interest in fashion and color, due to his mom taking him on shopping sprees and his father taking him to high class-areas with beautiful bright colored houses. He constantly switches up his cameras. He will use anything from Canon Digitals to some of he best cameras, and uses Carl Zeiss lenses, post-and-shoots and rangefinders. Bryant loves filling up his room with negatives and dark room prints. The street-style photography used by Bryant was also commonly used by Scott Schuman and Bill Cunningham. Bryant Eslava Photographs internet celebrities such as Nash Grier, Cameron Dallas, Emma Chamberlain, And the Dolan twins.

     My thoughts:

   
     What I like about his work/ my reaction to his work-

          In my opinion Bryant Eslava photography is astonishing. His photographs give off a very pleasing but mysterious vibe. By looking at his photographs you can tell that he is expressing himself and his creativity through the color, lighting and overall vibe of his image. I find it very interesting the way he sets up his subjects and the way he uses lighting. He has a very creative eye and his work in aesthetically pleasing. His photos all give off some what of the same vibe and I feel he could get more creative and step out of his comfort zone a little more. But overall I think his work is amazing and it inspires me to try harder in my photographs and really express myself more. 

     Why I selected this photographer- 

          I selected this photographer because Noelle introduced me to his work and right away I knew I fell in love. My eye was instantly drawn to his work. I think this is because I enjoy photographing people aswell. His work inspires me to try and have more of a creative eye and try new things with my subjects that I am photographing. Bryant Eslava also photographs many celebrities that I actually like and and its cool to see those celebs in a different type of environment than through videos that don't capture them the way Bryant captures them.
